Closing, or partially closing an open or pending position on TradeLocker is a pretty straightforward process.
How to close an open position?
Move your cursor down to the Trades panel and choose the Positions tab. On the far right of every trade, there are four available actions. If you want to close your position, click on this button:
Alternatively, simply right-click on the position you want to close and select Close position from the menu.
One-click trading
A pop-up box will show up and ask you to confirm your action. That is because you don’t have one-click trading enabled. When it is enabled, this pop-up will not show. The message looks like this:
If you want, you can enable it when the pop-up shows. If not, you can always turn it on later.
How to close a pending order?
If you want to close a pending order, first open the Pending tab and select the order you want to close and do the same actions as for the open positions above.
On the far right of every trade, there are four available actions. If you want to close your order, click on this button:
Alternatively, simply right-click on the order you want to close and select Close position from the menu.
How to close all positions?
Navigate to the Close all button in the right corner of the Trades panel.
A menu will open where you can view all closing options and click on the types of positions/orders you want to close:
- All positions and pending orders
- All positions
- Positive positions
- Negative positions
- All pending orders
Your P&L is calculated live so that you can close your position in the best possible moment.
Once you click on one of the options, your positions will close in bulk.
How to partially close a position?
Move your cursor down to the Trades panel and choose the Positions tab. On the far right of every trade, there are four available actions. If you want to partially close your position, click on this button:
Alternatively, simply right-click on the order you want to close and select Partial close position from the menu.
After clicking, a pop-up will appear, where you will be asked to put in the amount of lots you want to close:
Choose the amount and click ‘Close‘ to confirm.
When you decide to partially close a trade, if you don’t have one-click trading enabled, the same pop-up box will show and ask you to confirm your action.
