Understanding the difference between TradeLocker and other trading platforms

Important

MT5, MT4, cTrader, Match-Trader, and TradeLocker are separate trading platforms.

TradeLocker credentials cannot be used on other platforms, and MT5 or MT4 credentials cannot be used to log into TradeLocker.

Questions related specifically to other platforms are outside TradeLocker support scope.

What this means

Your broker or prop firm decides which trading platforms are available for your account.

β€œMT5” or β€œMT4” refers to the platform software itself, not the account provider.

This means:

  • Your broker owns and manages the account

  • The broker decides whether TradeLocker is supported

  • Platform availability may change over time

If your broker moved away from TradeLocker

If your broker or prop firm migrated to MT5 or another platform and no longer supports TradeLocker, you will need a new account with a broker that offers TradeLocker access.

You can explore available TradeLocker brokers and prop firms here:

Platform compatibility

TradeLocker does not connect directly with:

  • MT5

  • MT4

  • MetaTrader

  • cTrader

  • Match-Trader

These platforms operate independently with separate systems and credentials.

Keep in mind

If you have questions about MT5, MT4, cTrader, or Match-Trader functionality, you should contact:

  • Your broker or prop firm

  • The support team for that specific platform
